Our long-serving General Manager reaches his retirement age towards the end of 2007 and the present Manager, who has worked alongside him for the last 20 years, is to be appointed successor. We are looking for a RESIDENT MANAGEMENT COUPLE
to work with our new GM in the years ahead.

Thornleigh, established in 1973 by Highway Trust as a guest house for Christian outreach, is now said to be "One of the top Christian hotels in the country!"
Situated in a lovely location in the heart of Grange-over-Sands, overlooking Morecambe Bay, the hotel has built up a reputation for the quality of its catering and service. You will find there an enthusiastic management and professional staff, anxious to look after your every need. Matters are arranged in the finest detail for your complete satisfaction.
The Coffee Shop was opened in 1998, as an extension to the hotel, and Thornleigh Lodge, with study suites / en suite bedrooms, was opened in 1999. A new Reception area, Entrance Porch and Administration Offices were part of a development in 2001 and, in 2005, a Passenger Lift was installed in the Hotel, and an extension provided a lovely Chapel and enlarged Kitchen.
The Hotel and Lodge together can accommodate up to 60 guests in a variety of bedroom styles, all of which have en suite facilities, and all the splendid south-facing Bay View bedrooms are spacious, with magnificent panoramic views across the famous sands, covered in part these days by salt marsh, making Grange-over-Sands, Grange-over-Grass!
A variety of Special Interest Holidays may be found at Thorn-leigh, with houseparties at Easter, Christmas and New Year. Holidays by Coach and by Minibus (Door-to-Door service - literally!) and Weeks for Seniors, quite apart from individual holidays, Bargain Breaks & Church weekend conferences, take place throughout the year. Private dinner parties are one of the hotel's specialities, whether for a few guests or up to 60. It would be a pleasure to be of service to you and your friends, with a pre-dinner reception followed by a sumptuous meal, prepared by our highly-acclaimed catering staff.
Daytime Business meetings can also be arranged with refreshment breaks and luncheon.
